Maria understands it can be a difficult decision to seek support and help. She is passionate about being with and supporting individuals during times that may be challenging and painful, whether from previous life experiences or in the present. As a Limited License Psychologist, she has worked for 30 years in the US and overseas with individuals of all ages, backgrounds, and cultures. Maria’s work has focused on the consequences of loss and trauma, anxiety, depression, PTSD, ADHD, LGBTQI issues, chronic and terminal illness management, and eating disorders. With certification in EMDR, holistic and integrative health care, she focuses on the uniqueness of those she counsels and incorporates elements of person-centered, somatic focused and cognitive behavioral therapy, EMDR, real life experience, motivational interviewing, and wellness coaching. She also provides psychological assessment and testing for immigration waiver status and ADHD. Maria works with adolescents (12+) and adults.
